RAT Query

Hi,

Suppose a domain "mydomain.com.fj" exists on Recipient Access Table but does not exist on SMTP Route Table. Question, Are emails sent to "mydomain.com.fj" safely stored in the E-mail Exchange (C370) and can then be later delivered when SMTP Route is setup for that domain?

If that is possible, Is there a way of verifying the emailaddreses@mydomain.com.fj are being stored in the box?

Thanking you in advance,

Ruveni

Hello Ruveni,

you will instantly create a mail loop in case a SMTP Route is missing and the DNS MX -> A record point to the IronPort appliance. Please note that the SMTP Route just substitutes a DNS lookup and that the IronPort appliance is not supposed to be a mail store but a mail gateway.

Thanks and regards,

Martin
