I have a customer that needs to receive emails from the outside. We have rule to block the letter combo NU. The sender has a spread sheet with NU in one of the lines and the message gets qtined as expected. However, when the attachment comes in as a PDF, it doesn't get qtned, its deleivered.

why would the pdf get delivered and the xcel get qtined?

*regular words like January etc are not caught.

Thanks

Hi Alan,

It would be difficult to comment on the working without looking at the filter and the actual files in the query.

I would expect the filter to behave the same for the excel and the pdf, if we could get additional information we could possibly test it out on a lab device.

You might also want to check how the PDF was created, some third party tools used to create/convert to pdf can result in scanning errors due to a corrupt format.
