Best Pratice is Upgrade SMA First to latest version. and Then ESA
1. Upgrade path device automatically guide you if you go to system upgrade it will provide list of ASyncOS eligible for this device to upgrade to, you can chosse the ASyncOS like to upgrade.
Note : make sure you read the release notes before upgrade, and backup the configfile without masking.

thanks for the reply,
can we directly upgrade the esa-c370 devices (from 10.0.0. to 11.0.0 build 105) which are in cluster and managed by SMA-m380 (10.0.0-55 to 11.1.5)
can you explain the steps

Hello,
As it's been mentioned, the upgrade paths can be found within the release notes.
ESA/SMA Compatibility Matrix - https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/security/security_management/sma/sma_all/SMA-ESA-WSA_Compatibility.pdf
Upgrade steps (how-to upgrade) can be found with a quick search and are fairly straight forward, but you can also find them in the user guide(s) if need be.
If you're not able to see any upgrade paths from your C370 then I would recommend opening a TAC case so that we can make sure it's configured properly.
Thanks!
