Cisco AMP not showing up in Programs and Features

Greetings,

I'm doing a bulk update of the AMP connector through Management > Policies > Product Updates. I know that the machines will update to this version over the next couple days - what I'm not seeing is CiscoAMP show up in Programs and Features with the version number. I went from 7.X to 8.X, I see the versioning in Services of Windows OS, but not in Program Files.

Any ideas what this might be?

More info:

When I go to Windows Defender, I see that Cisco Secure Endpoint is enabled for Virus Protection. I also don't see AMP in the system tray/taskbar.

I'm just trying to get some visibility!

Do you have the Start Client User Interface option enabled in the policy?

I added that after the fact. In the waiting game for now!

If that's ticked and saved, this will get applied within whatever time limit you set to heartbeat, right?

That is correct. Policy changes are applied after the next heartbeat.

Mine shows up in Programs and Features as Cisco Secure Endpoint (new name as of 8.x) version 8.2.1.21650.

It also shows up in the system tray (integrated with the rest of the Secure Client modules like AnyConnect VPN, Umbrella etc. if you have those installed)

After updating to version 8 you should see a secure client icon that looks like the following
