Additional Logical Device on FPR4K

Hello,

I have one multi-context asa running on the FPR4100. I would like to add one more logical device running asa in a single mode. So, I would have 2 ASAs running on the chassis. Does the FPR4K support it? Just for curiosity, can we have one FTD and one ASA on the same chassis? Can they share the same physical ports or should they use separate interfaces?

I cans see under Logical Devices there is Add Device button disabled/grayed out. Is that by design that we can't have more than one logical unit on single chassis or is it more like a license issue?

Thanks.

The 4100 series only has a single security engine and thus only supports a single logical device at one time.

The 9300 series has the option of multiple security modules. On that platform you can have multiple logical devices. However they all have to be the same type (that is, you cannot mix ASA and FTD).
