Testing the Firewall

Dear Experts,

I have configured the Firewall and trying to test its capability and how it succeeds the attacks.

I thought of using Traffic Generators and attack Generating tools. Can you please suggest the Best of breed products you use in the Industry that produces attacks and Heavy traffic without it itself become the victim. Putting it in simple terms, the attack tool should produce DOS, worms attacks and it should not hang itself

One tool that many engineers in the industry use is Nessus. Another one is called Retina.
