7961 abbreviated dial not availble if it has a call on hold

A customer has 7961 with 8.2(1) phone load an the abbreviated dial softkey is not available once he puts a call on hold, however he can do this from a 7960 with running 8.0(3). Is this a bug with the phone load. I will try load 8.2(2) to see if it fixes it but there is no mention in the release notes

Abbr dial is supported only with on hook dialing. Since you are already on a call, i doubt if AbbrDial will show up. I think you are seeing normal behaviour.

Sankar I thought it may be something like that but the user is certain that they are able to do this from a 7960 phone

Got the same issue with a 7921 (CUCM 4.3). No matter the phone, I can't transfer using AbbrDial.

The only workaround I found is to use de Personal Fast Dial service.

Hope it helps.
