I have a number of Cisco 7940 Series IP phones for which I have no AC adaptor (only can function with POE). Recently due to an upgrade of other networking equipment we were forced to update the IPs used for the subnet of our network on which the phones and call manager (Call Manager 4.3) reside. A small subset of phones completely lost their configuration and began behaving as though they were factory reset. However, I am unable to access their settings menu to update their IPs and that of the TFTP server. Even after successfully factory-resetting the phones I am still unable to access the settings menu. We cannot use DHCP on our network, so barring that how can I access the settings menu following a factory reset?
TLDR; Following successful factory reset on a Cisco 7940 with no AC adaptor how can I access the network settings if I cannot use DHCP?
