Hi All ,
now I have one CUCM 5.1.3 in a HP ProLiant DL380 G4 ( MCS7835H ) , last month, I got another old HP ProLiant DL320 G5 (no MCS78XX marked) . I want join the "new" server into cucm group, because we have 4 node licenses in the MCS7835H (now only one Publisher).
does "new" server need licenses ? different model server can became a cucm group ?
BestRegards,
Jinming

Hi Jinming.
Node license are not hardware related, so you can add other 3 CUCM server to your cluster.

Hi,
To add to what Carlo has said.
You really need to follow the admin guide.
You will also need to know
The pubs IP address (known as first node)
CUCMAdmin Password
OS Password
Security Password
You must build the new sub server to the exact CUCM version as the pub
This admin guide will help
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/admin/5_1_3/ccmcfg/b02servr.html
The full CUCM documention index page
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/prod_maintenance_guides_list.html
Look down here you will see the docs for 5.1

Hi all ,
Unfurtunate, my testing failed , the "new " HP server cannot be installed by unsupport hardware. maybe its 250G Raid 1 unsupport by installation CD , but I had installed the image in my Vmware environment .
