Call between a SIP phone and a remote one through H.323 trunk doesn't resume after putting on hold

Hello

I have configured an H.323 trunk between an Avaya (that don't support SIP) and a CME. As the trunk goes through a WAN link I am using G729 codec for this trunk. The phones I am using in the CME side are 7841 with G711 codec. The CME has transcoding configured. Currently I am able to make calls between both sides in both ways and the audio works fine. However, when I put the call on hold in the 7841 and resume the call, the call remains up but the audio stops passing through. That doesn't happen if I configure the 7841 phones with G729 codec. It seems the problem is due to the use of transcoding. Do you know a way to make this feature (hold) work in this situation?

Regards
