We have CCM 3.3 (i know, we are upgrading to the newer version of 7.X soon) and when we try to do a call conference with 3 people in the office, it just doesn't work. What service in CCM is this using?

IPVMS, try resetting the CFB from GUI, if it doesn't work bounce the service. I'm assuming you're using SW CFB, for HW CFB you might try no sccp/sccp
HTH
java
if this helps, please rate

Enable CallManager detailed trace, you should find "out of resource" or simulator message.
Conferencing resource can be configured as a profile on the Voice Gateway if you have enough DSP resource. How to find out?
Do the "Max sess ?" under the "dspfarm profile 1 conference", you only need one!!
You can also do a "sho inv" - look at PBDM's.
voice-card 0
dspfarm
dsp services dspfarm
!
dspfarm profile 1 conference
codec g711ulaw
codec g711alaw
codec g729ar8
codec g729abr8
codec g729r8
codec g729br8
conference-join custom-cptone jointone
conference-leave custom-cptone leavetone
associate application SCCP
Max sess ?
!
sccp ccm group 500
bind interface GigabitEthernet0/1.5
associate ccm 500 priority 1
associate profile 1 register GW-CNF
!
sccp local GigabitEthernet0/1.5
sccp ccm 10.41.5.1 identifier 500 version 4.1
sccp
!
Now add "Hardware conferance bridge" "GW-CNF" in CallManager and add to Resource Group for phones. Restart CallManager.
After Restart check CFB registration, and test.

If you still have problems add the transcoding profile using the same procedure you used for conferencing:
dspfarm profile 2 transcode
codec g711ulaw
codec g711alaw
codec g729ar8
codec g729abr8
codec g729r8
maximum sessions 3
associate application SCCP

Figured out that the conference bridge isn't registered to the CM. what I need now is the correct syntax in the VGP to reset the PVDM DSPfarm. Anybody can help?
