Hello,
I need to change the NTP source on a CUCM 7.1 server... I changed everything in the GUI but, if I do a utils NTP status it shows the server being sync'd to itself... I tried utils NTP config, unfortunately that also just shows me the current config and doesn't allow me to make changes. I looked at the set commands, don't see anything there. Is there a way to change the NTP source from the CLI?
Thanks,
Rick

You cannot change the NTP settings from the CLI.
You can probably try the CLI command "utils ntp restart".
Make sure you can ping the NTP server: "utils network ping ...."

What did you change on the GUI ?
- login to the OS Admin page of Pub > Settings > NTP servers > add/modify NTP entries on the Pub
- By architecture, the Sub's will pull their time off the Pub, so the NTP server for the Subs will be the Pub
After making the change, you can SSH to the Pub and run 'utils ntp status' - you should see the external NTP server you added on the platform GUI.
Please keep in mind the following documentation defect :
CSCte17541 SRND to specifically mention that Windows NTP server is not supported.
Linux versions of CUCM can't successfully sync to a Windows NTP server. Configure a linux or IOS NTP server.
