Cisco 8941 auto complete

Hello,

I have a user that says her fingers are to fast and she want to turn off auto complete.  She says auto complete is causing her to mis-dial.  She has dialed 911 on more than a few occasions.  Her example was 9191xxx, 91 to get outside and long distance then the additional 91 for area code.  Apparently the phone is skipping the 2nd 9 as she dials.

It looks like the auto complete feature can be disabled in older model phones, I'm wondering if there is a way to do this with the 8941?

Thanks!

Hi,

The "Auto Complete Number" was introduced as a feature in Cisco 7960/40 model phones, where you can turn ON/OFF this feature from the instrument. This options looks to be added into the Firmware now, which by default is available in all the later introduced phones and not listed anymore as a advanced call handling feature.

So you cannot turn off this option in 8941 model IP Phone. If you feel it is a critical issue, either change the way dial plan is used or raise a firmware level feature request for ON/OFF this feature from Instrument.

HTH,

Gifton Abel.
