This has got to be one of the most frustrating Cisco products ever made. I simply want to configure this device with an online SIP provider and plug in my existing analog phones.
I don't have a call manager or anything else so I am unable to upgrade to the latest firmware. I have downloaded both of the following files but neither are recognized as valid images through the web GUI.
cmterm-ata190-qed.1-1-2-005.cop.sgn
cmterm-ata190.1-1-2-005.cop.sgn
Also nearly every configuration option is disabled in the web GUI regardless of admin/admin or cisco/cisco credentials.
Has anyone been able to get this device working?

Hello Ryan,
I'm sorry to hear about the hard time you're having. Unfortunately the goal you are trying to accomplish isn't feasible without some type of call control server (CUCM).
The Cisco ATA isn't an intelligent device. Its main goal is to transfer Analog to VoIP signaling between devices. It needs to register to a call processing server and receive instructions.
For more information on how the ATA works:

As far as I am aware, the ATA devices will not allow you to make and receive calls without some sort of Call Manager, whether it be CME or CUCM.
The ATA just allows you to plug in analog devices and have them work via IP to negate the need to have FXS ports for every analog device.
