Dear Professional,
I have Cisco Call Manager express 9.1 in cisco 2951 ISR Router and my question is what specific model cisco IP phones are support by default in CME 9.1 without loading their firmware in call manager and can any one confirm these model Cisco IP phone which written down below that do we need to load firmware or CME 9.1 has included firmware by default in it.
Cisco Unified IP Phone 9971
Cisco Unified IP Phone 7970G and 7971G
Cisco Unified IP Phone 7945G and 7965G
Cisco Unified IP Phone 7940 and 7960

CME has no FW for devices by default, if you want to use a different FW, or to provide the files for their current FW, you need to upload it manually.

Thanks for the reply but I have used 7906 and 7911 without loading any firmware files into the call manager and VoIP phone was working normal.

Because the phones will use whatever FW they have loaded at the time of registration, if they're instructed to load a new FW, that's when you need to have it available.
AND CCM provides FW for all the ip phones by default.
