Hello friends, I'm looking for someone to solve my doubt. Recently I've asked for the TAC to help me out with an implementation of 802.1X using IP Phones as the connection port for the supplicant PC. I had a problem because after I unplugged the PC the port remained authorized, the TAC told me that the phone shlould send an EAPoL-Logoff message to terminate the authorization period, but the phone is not sending it. They came up with the solution, saying that I needed to upgrade the firmware in my 7912 phones (Currently 8.0.4) to the 8.2 or greater but after I escaletd the case for other issue they told me that the 7912 does NOT support the EAPoL-Logoff feature. So I don´t know who to believe in. I need to untie this situation because I have to take the decision, should I just upgrade the firmware of the Phones or should I upgrade the phones to a new model. Thanks so much for your help in advance.
Regards, Jonás.
