CME phone firmware upgrade from 7.0.3 to 9.1.1SR1

Hi,

I am migrating CME 4.1 (2811 ISR) to CME 8.6 (2901 ISR G2). In CME 4.1 firmware load for 7941 is 7.0.3 and in CME 8.6 firmware load for 7941 is 9.1.1SR1. Looking at the CME 8.6 supported firmware document "When upgrading phone load version, first upgrade phone load 8.0.4 to 8.0.5 followed by phone load 8.0.5 to 8.1.1. Once your phone load version is upgraded to 8.1.1 you should upgrade it to version 8.1.2"

Does this mean I will need to upgrade firmware 4-5 times to get to 9.1.1SR1? that would be ridiculous, is there a quicker way to get around this? if not, would it be ok to leave firmware 7.0.3 on CME 8.6?

You could leave the firmware where it is but some newer features might not work correctly.  You should be able to upgrade to 8.5.2 (base no SR1 ect), first then you can upgrade to 9.1.1SR1.  It should be only a two step upgrade.
