Hi,
I have the following scenario I need help with.
Site1 - Sub & Pub (service 500 users)
Site2 - None
Site3 - None
Here are some things to consider:
- New 7816 CUCM to be installed at Site2 to service about 130 users and to have some redundancy
- Move Pub to Site3 wich is our DR site
- Leave Sub on Site1 but enable TFTP and make it the second Sub for Site2
New scenario:
Site1 - Sub (service 370 users)(TFTP server as well)(2 T1s installed at this site)
Site2 - Sub1 (service 130 users)(2 T1s installed at this site)
Site3 - Pub (Secondary TFTP server)(1 T1 at this site)
The idea behind it is to have a CUCM at Site1 in case something happens to the WAN they can keep almost all their features. Site2 call volume will decrease so enabling TFTP I don't think is a terrible idea. We need to move the Pub to Site3 so we can have redundancy in case of a disaster and to be able to restore. I don't forsee any huge growth for the next three years what makes me believe that the call managers can handle the call volume as well as the other requests.
Please note that I have an MPLS network with CoS configure. I just want to know the details about WAN replication for the call managers as well as if there are any specific ports that I need to specify on my QoS configuration. Do I need a point-to-point circuit for this setup? Please feel free to share as much information as possible.
Thanks in advance. RG

Using clustering over WAN is recommended where applicable
Just make sure you plan and design the cucm servers roles correctly such moh server call control server and tftp
You can load share these roles across the entire system by using callmanger groups and device pools
