Hello
We have just installed CUCM in Italy. We have been told by Telecom Italia that the number of the ISDN cct is only 10 digits. What I mean by this is as follows. If the DDI range is 390251655700-99 then the actual number is 3902516557. The last 2 digits do not exist on their network. I have tested this by just dialling 3902516557 and I can see the call when I 'debug idsn q931' .
This seems to cause 2 issues
I assume this is a common problem with CUCM in Italy so there should be a straight forward way to overcome it. I have searched through google but can't see an answer.
Many Thanks
Vince

Hi,
Your query seems to be a bit confusing. Please confirm the following:
Outbound calls:
If DID range is 390251655700-99 then is the service provider expecting the first 10 digits or the last 10 digits as the calling number for the outgoing calls.
Inbound Calls:
If you're receiving a call, then what exactly is the called number you're getting. Is it the first 10 digit or the last 10 digit or the complete number.
Please attach the debug isdn q931 output with this. Also please explain in detail your requirement.
Regards
Akshay

Hi Vince
The first 2 digits are the country code and usually if dialling within that country on ISDN the country code wouldn't generally be sent so when they say 10 digits I assume what they mean is minus the leading 39 country code so your 10 digits become :
0251655700-99
