dear friends
is this possible to put force authorization code per user .. scenario is i want to configure few users to user code before dialing international but i cant do this for all my router patteren for international dial is used by everyone in the company. and want to give sepearte code for everyuse becuase if the code is same then there will be no use, one person shared the code with some one then it is out..
so please suggest some way where i can protect international dial per user not per route pattern. Thanks a lot

Hello,
Go to cisco website and download a book called feature and services.
There is a feature called CMC , i think it is what you are asking about.
here is a small brief about it :
To use the Client Matter Codes feature, users must enter a client matter code to reach certain dialed numbers. You enable or disable CMC through route patterns, and you can configure multiple client matter codes. When a user dials a number that is routed through a CMC-enabled route pattern, a tone prompts the user for the client matter code. When the user enters a valid CMC, the call occurs; if the user enters an invalid code, reorder occurs. The CMC writes to the CDR, so you can collect the information by using CDR Analysis and Reporting (CAR), which generates reports for client accounting and billing.
The Client Matter Codes feature benefits law offices, accounting firms, consulting firms, and other businesses or organizations where tracking the length of the call for each client is required. Before you implement CMC, obtain a a list of all clients, groups, individuals, parties, and so on that you plan to track through CMC. Determine whether you can assign the codes consecutively, arbitrarily, or whether your organization requires a special code structure; for example, using existing client account numbers for CMC. For each client (or group, individual, and so on) that you want to track, you must add a client matter code in the Client Matter Code Configuration window of Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration. Then, in Cisco Unified Communications Manager Administration, you must enable CMC for new or existing route patterns. After you configure CMC, make sure that you update your dial plan documents to indicate the CMC-enabled route patterns.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Amer,
amer angry...? ok now to the point is i am having this book... and this also shows how to implement his per router pattern not per user.... i want this per user.. any idea

Me angry ???? no , why would you say that.
What you are saying is that you want all the users to use the same route pattern but for certain people they have to use a code , is that what you are saying ?
if it is it is not possible (as far i know) the best thing to you is to creat to route patterns (two different partitions) , the people that you want them to use the code add them to the route pattern that requires a code and the others add them to the CSS that don't require code.

see now u know what i am looking for .. u knw amer i know this solution but i can not create partitions ... all the ppl are in the same group .. and if i create partitions then again for every individual i have to do this .. means everyone will look for its seperate password... not possible ..
any thirt party things .. open source..?

Hello,
You don't need to create a partition for evey user , let me give you a small scenario:
let's say you have user1 , user2 , user3 and user4
user1 and user2 needs to use a code to go for international calls but user 3 and 4 don't need to
You create two partinitions, two CSS and two route patterns , one of the route patterns requires CMC and the other not.
So the users 1 and 2 will be assigned to the CSS that requires CMC and the 3 and 4 to the other one.
Let's say after that that you want to change the user 3 to enter a code when he dials international , all what you have to do is two things
1- create a new CMC code for him
2- change the CSS from the one that don't require CMC to the one that does from the extension.
It's really simple and it is very effective.
Also for the CMC it is very helpful since you can have a full report for each code so you can give every person a code that he is resposible for so even if someone tries to use other phone for international , the call will be tied to his CMC code .

one doubt ... can every user be given with a different code... ? i think yes... but let mi have an answer from u then i will send my reply...

Hello,
Yes , this is the benefit of the CMC , you give every user a different code to use so when you generate a report , you will tie the code to the person.
You can do that from the CDR , there is a report for the CMC.

dear Amer,
i think we are confusing... mu mistake... appologies... but we started on FAC not on CMC.. we want FAC not CMC, so is there a option which can give seperate code for every user who is restricted to dial international using FAC.
answer to above is yes... how if u want to comment on same

Hello Jatin,
it is the same yes but as far as i remember there is no controll on the reports for the FAC , if that is ok with you , you can proceed .

really loving ur quick replies... thanks Amer... u know the requirment is who so ever dials international need to put his individual code then dials out... so as for as i know i need FAC .. but for every user... hmm.. thts tricky...
let mi know if u have any idea for the same...
dont want any kind of report.. that we do using cdr based on extensions

Jatin,
The CMC is the same as FAC , when the user dials the route pattern , the system will ask him to insert a code , the only problem with the CMC is that the code that is entered by the person will not * , it will be clear digits .
You can fix it by dialing # at the end of the number .
Read about the CMC , it is what you are looking for.
To enable it , it is the same as you enable the FAC , there is a check box beside to that says enable CMC , just check it on the route pattern.
