h.323 fast start and slow start comparison

Hi All !

I request to kindly assist on providing the exact difference between the two types of call flow scenarios in an H.323 gateway , checked certain issues but none very descriptive enough , it seems, would appreciate any help on this.

You need to read material on this which you can find by just searching CCO

Short answer:

Fast connect uses less messages since it sends capabilities since the beginning and does not wait for the other end to send the capabilities to then agree on one.

Fast connect allows endpoints to establish media  channels without waiting for a separate H.245 connection to be opened.  This streamlines the number of messages that are exchanged and the  amount of processing that must be done before endpoint connections can  be established
