how to add dobly conference phone (vcp9000) to cucm 9.1

Following Dolby's instructions, the phone registers with CUCM and can receive external calls.  The problem is it can't make calls...internal or external. When trying to make an external call, I get a busy signal.  Calling an internal extension will ring the remote phone but when person picks we get a busy signal.  Has anyone setup this conference phone with CUCM successfully?  I'd like to get any input on what I may be missing.  Thanks.

Hi ,

did you check calling search space configured on directory number you assigned to SIP third party device you added to CUCM?

Also check codec list you configured on Dolby's phone

Let me know

Thank you Carlo.  I added the supported codecs to the calling search space and it works.

Hi,

Glad to help and Thanks for nice rating.

Can you please specify what you changed on Dolby's station?

That could help others with the same issue.

Thanks again

Carlo

I did not change settings on the Dolby phone.  Your comment led me to look at the codecs set between our offices in CUCM.  I checked what codecs the Dolby phone supported, then moved it in CUCM to a region we setup which supported at least one of those codes across all our offices.  Rebooted the phone and it worked.
