Issues with Jabber

Davemzcs2

I will try to explain this behavior as simple as i could.

1.I have one active call in the physical phone (Cisco 7821)

2.I also have Cisco Jabber active and registered in my smartphone.

3.On my physical phone I receive a new incoming call, but my Cisco Jabber never rings nor does the new incoming call appear.

Is this a normal behavior?

Are you using a shared line?

If no calls are on the phone, does Jabber ring?

What troubleshooting have you done so far?

Versions in use?

HTH

java

if this helps, please rate

Hello Jaime, hope you are doing well.

Are you using a shared line?

yes, same line in both devices (physical phone and Jabber)

If no calls are on the phone, does Jabber ring?

Yes, it does ring.

What troubleshooting have you done so far?

So far i tried resetting the Jabber and tried w/ jabber on Android and iPhone.

Versions in use?

Tried on the latest versions on Android and iPhone, i will try on Jabber 11.9 for Windows tomorrow

Thank you for your valuable time and efforts.

Hi,

I think something missed from your configuration. Under user configuration did you associate both 78xx and jabber. Also, did you associate all DNs to the user from the user configuration as well.

Also, I am assuming that both Jabber and 78xx are having the same DN in the same partition.

If above is in place then both Jabber and 78xx should ring simultaneously.

Good afternoon.

Hi @Mohammed al Baqari everything is configured as you said. but i found the root of this issue, this is happening just in Jabber for iPhones, it works perfectly on Android and MAC/Windows.

I was reading the restrictions and limitations for Jabber on iPhone and it seems this problem is not listed there.....

@Mohammed al Baqari @Jaime Valencia thank you for your all your help.
