Hello,

I currently have about 600 cisco 7841 in production, recently i had an entire floor of a building start rebooting and cutting off calls in progress.  I looked at the logs on one phone and got the following error message:

This appears to be when the phone drops the calls.  I also looked at the status messages and it showed it looking for an ipv6 address.  I am not currently running ipv6.  Any ideas would be helpful.  Thanks.

recently i had an entire floor of a building start rebooting and cutting off calls in progress.

The description does not sound like a phone issue but more leaning towards a switch/PoE issue.

I checked the POE setting on the switch stack and they all show normal draw for phones with no spikes or abnormal issues showing.  Checked against another switch stack with about same number of phones and the power being used was comparable.

The phones don't loose power (aka they never go dark) it would appear that it is looking for a dhcpv6 address.  What would the statement "Wired DHCP6 Info of DOWND" refer to?

No, no, no.  Not the power draw.  What about the logs?  Was there anything in the logs at the time when the phones rebooted?

Did the switch (or switch stack) crash?
