How do I locate the procuct ID on 6.1 cisco communication manager? Is it the product ID the same as the serial number located in the front of the server?

You have to be more specific.
What do you mean by product id ?
Are you trying to find the product id of the server itself or of the CUCM ?
If this is the server, somewhere on the server you should find something similar to MCS-78xx
But it depends of the server type (IBM, HP)
You can also access the CLI of your CUCM 6.1 by doing a SSH of the CUCM IP address.
Then you issue the "show hardware" command and will get:
admin:show hardware

this server is a MCS-7835H2 server (HP) with 2 GigRAM and 2 drives configured in RAID 1.
Hope this will help.
