"ip qos dscp ef media "

dial-peer voice 100 voip

ip qos dscp cs3 signaling

ip qos dscp ef media (default)

2851 GW connects to 7600 Router. We have to mark the voice traffic to cs3(signal) and ef(media) before it hits the 7600 router. As seen above configuration I found those two statements. I just want to make sure the "ip qos dscp ef media" does maek the rtp to ef, if that's the case I do not need access-list any more to mark the rtp. Right? Thanks

EF is the default for all rtp packets generated by the call using that dial-peer for signalling. So as long as any router on the forward path does not modify DSCP for these packets, RTP should stay at EF once it leaves this router.
