Dear all
Our Service provider is going to implement some SBC to work with a 3rd party soft switch which is support SIP and H248. I mentioned an ASR1000 for SBC. The goal is that the SIP user/H248 User register in Soft Switch but the media goes through the SBC. we are going to have just one Soft switch in whole network but some SBCs in different part of the network.(to sample topology is in attachment)
According to "Cisco Unified Border Element (SP Edition) Configuration Guide" there are two mode for configuring, unified and distributed mode.
I think we should configure the SBC in distributed mode, because there is one SBE and Some DBE in our network.am I right? I really get confused , i dont know how to configure the SBC to work with Soft switch and handle the media traffic.
According to document In Unified mode, we should configure some adjacency in SBE, one for connecting SBE to Phones and one for connecting SBE to Soft switch, but i don't know which IP addresses i should set in adjacency
to configure one adjacency we should define below parameters;
adjacency sip To-Phone
signaling-address ipv4 ipv4_IP_address
signaling-port port_num
remote-address ipv4 ipv4_IP_address/prefix
signaling-peer peer_address
signaling-peer-port port_num.
adjacency sip To-Softswitch
signaling-address ipv4 ipv4_IP_address
signaling-port port_num
remote-address ipv4 ipv4_IP_address/prefix
signaling-peer peer_address
signaling-peer-port port_num.
could you please guide me about the solution and configuration of the SBC in both unified and distributed mode, with sample config of the attached topology?
Thanks in advanced
