SIP and E1

We need to run SIP and 2 X (E1) ISDN on the single router and route calls between these two connections simultaneously . We have an estimated calls of 120 among of which 80 calls may go via SIP and 40 calls may route via ISDN (E1) .

Is this possible and what will be the pvdm requirement.

Regards.

Hi,

Yes this is possible. You can configure different Dial-peers on the gateway to point the calls to the SIP trunk to the Service Provider and the 2 E1s.

You can calculate the DSP requirements using :

http://www.cisco.com/web/applicat/dsprecal/dsp_calc.html

Please feel free to ask further questions if you have any doubts.

Jagpreet
