SSH Access to 79xx phones

We have SSH access disabled in the configuration of our 79xx phones.  But we can still SSH into them!  It prompts for a username and password (although I don't know what username or password would work).  My understanding is that if SSH is disabled, then the phone should reject any SSH attempts and I should not get a login prompt.  What am I missing?  The phone firmware is SCCP45.9-1-1SR1S and the CUCM version is 8.0(3).

Thanks!

Hi there,

The SSH enable/disable feature was introduced in firmware 9.2(1) and above. Having said that, without the userid/password being configured under the phone config page, this particular issue is still protected as far as SSH is concerned.

HTH.
