System Message on Telephone Display

Does anyone know if it's possible to customize the system message by individual phone or can it be eliminated altogether?

Can you provide some more information.

What system is your phones using

CUCM, CME etc

It's a UC540.CCA 3.1(1) 8.2 software pack.

The system message is an all phones feature.  If you want to disable it I think you can just insert a space as the system message, if not then perhaps something like a period which would mostly go un-noticed.

system message . (Or a SPACE you need to use a single character)

Or from the GUI

Configure ---> Sytem message

PS,

no system message

This will show the DEFAULT CISCO SYTEM MESSAGE

So that wont do what you want.
