UC500 cannot forward calls to external numbers

Hi all,

We have an issue with our (old)UC500, for some reason we cannot forward incoming calls to external numbers. I've tried configuring this on the phones themselves, and directly on the UC500 - but it always results in a busy signal. Internal forwarding works fine, but i.e. forarding calls from an end users extension to a cell phone, will not work.

We have a SIP trunk from a Norwegian provider.

I have been researching this for a week now, but I'm pretty much a Cisco newbie, and CIPT stuff is even more unknown territory.

Any tips on how to proceed? What debug command would be most useful here?

Thanks.

Hello,

Not sure if this is available in UC500 but you should try "Debug ccsip messages" or "Debug ccsip events".It provides SIP tracing. Its likely you are sending wrong digits.

transfer-pattern .T and call-forward pattern .T are actually already enabled.

This is the output from "debug ccsip messages" and events:

Hello,

What you should be watching for are the sip responses to your request.Kinda finding it hard to understand your trace , did you attempt to forward or call.Either way the errors in your trace were :

SIP/2.0 407 Proxy Authentication Required : This can mean for some reason you are not sending a authentication header(check if digest authentication is required) or you are not sending the correct credentials.I see some authentication credentials later in the trace confirm they are the correct ones for that provider.(You might also want to have them changed after you fix this problem)
SIP/2.0 403 Unknown Identity :This usually means the SIP system you are trying to call is disconnecting/rejecting the call.

Try doing a trace for 2 different types of calls:

1 You say you can call an external number ,Send a trace where you call an external number from the same internal number

2 Try forwarding a call from an internal number to the same external number.
