Unified Failover/Standby Redundancy confused????

We have Unified 4.21 (might upgrade to 7.0 later this year) with exchange 2003 (external).

We have failover design (active/passive) now. In the very near future, we will have DR site.

I think my question is that:

Can Failover and standby Redundancy co-exist?? In other words, two servers with failover at Main Data Center, and 1 server with Standby Redundancy at DR Site.

Anyone done that before??

Thanks

Ken

Maybe you meant "Unity" instead of "Unified"? If that's the case, please change the title. So people won't get confused.

Cant change the title now.. I mean Unified Messaging.

Thanks

I think the answer to your question is basically no. You can only setup failover between two Unity hosts. There are no three way replication methods.

I just ran into the same situation where we already have a hot standby failover but wanted to add another DR Unity box.

Basically, our 'DR' plan is to restore the latest DiRT backup in the event of a catasrophic failure.

Hope this helps.
