we have an asa 5510 with ASA 8.0(2) and asdm 6.1(1)
I can configure ipv6 via terminal but not asdm, I want to be able to do it with asdm
Do I need to upgrade the ASDM? If so: I cant download anything because of ciscos "blabla you need a contract blabla"
I think sw upgrades should be free..

I can't speak to that particular release but I am running IPv6 using ASDM with ASA code 8.4.1 with ASDM 6.4.1 without problems.
If you go to Configure and the Edit Interfaces, if you don't see an IPv6 tab on the top then you will have to upgrade.

Right, IPv6 support in ASDM wasn't added until 6.2. See

Thanks,
