How do I find an IPV6 address outside my organization?

Greetings people! I just did a test, not too far in the past. We were told to wrap OSPF over IPV4 and allow our organization’s PC to ping the web server in a networking group that includes an ipv4 server and an ipv6 server. As for the ipv6 part, we were told to do a static focus on all things.

During testing, I figured out how to make ipv4 work, but I didn't get the static course for ipv6 to work. I saved a copy of PKT and try to fix it at home; the question is whether the IPV6 address was given on paper. I have been trying to figure out the ipv6 address of the given query. I tried to use reconfiguration mode and make a simple PDU, but it doesn't support IPV6 packets.

I have a course to work on (which is effectively targeted at a networking organization, but I have been trying to figure out the location of the ipv6 server.) Can anyone help me with this? Thank you very much in advance! butterfly test

check IPv6 address schema :

https://www.ripe.net/about-us/press-centre/understanding-ip-addressing

Like RF1918 for IPv4

IPv4 private address ranges (RFC 1918):

  • 10.0.0.0 – 10.255.255.255 (24-bit block)
  • 172.16.0.0 – 172.31.255.255 (20-bit block)
  • 192.168.0.0 – 192.168.255.255 (16-bit block)
  •

here is ipv6 private range :

IPv6 private address ranges:

  • fc00::/7 address block = RFC 4193 Unique Local Addresses (ULA)
  • fec0::/10 address block = deprecated (RFC 3879)

i am not a good user of PT here some lab for reference :

Hi @Holteen ,

This is the output for a DNS request for the AAAA record for the mentioned server. The IPv6 addresses are in there.
