IPv6 is not enabled on this interface

Hi I am working with a cisco nexus 9300. I thought I had several ipv6 features running, and I still can't configure MLD.

When I run: # show ipv6 mld interface ethernet 1/1

I get response: IPv6 is disabled on Ethernet1/1

What steps do I need to take to get IPv6 (and MLD) enabled and configurable on my device.

Is an IPv6 address and IPv6 multicast configured on the interface? Until an IPv6 address is configured, IPv6 is not active on the interface.
