IPV6 Temorary IP

Hello Guys ,

I have a 2900 Series ISP provided router.

They have provided me an IPV6 /64 range in LAN interface.

When i connect a laptop directly to that interface and assign a static IP 

fd1d:27ba:9514:61bf::5/64  (This is just for Example)

On router LAn interface we have already supress the RA

 ipv6 nd ra suppress

still i get a IPV6 Temorary IP to my laptop and when i do  " http://ipv6-test.com/ "  this always shows me this temp IPV6 as my end point IP

What is wrong in the configuration ?

Hi there,

You need to add the 'all' keyword to your command:

!
ipv6 nd ra suppress all
!

This will supress solicited RAs (responses to RS packets) and periodic RA's. Without the 'all' command, your router just stops sending periodic RA's.
