Request IPv6 block

I am trying to get an IPv6 block for my organization from ARIN and I am trying to understand what I need. I will need enough addressing for minimum 2 sites. Production and DR.

So would I request a /48 and a /44?

I am reading that a /48 will only work with a 1 site organization? So I am understanding that as I need a /44.

By doing so that will give me 16 /48 blocks which would be good up to 16 sites?

Hi,

If I understand correctly, your organization has several internet accesses. You therefore want to obtain a PI address from ARIN to address your network.

It is true that even if your organization is not a LIR (Local Internet Registry), you can get a /48 or even a /44 if the needs are justified.

But if you have 2 sites, one /48 is more than enough. That gives you 16 /52 that you can share in 4096 subnets in /64. 4096 subnets for 1 site seems more than reasonable from my point of view....
