Which IPv6 address range is suitable for anycast addresses for distributed services such as DHCP or DNS?
2001:db8:0234:ca3e::1/128
2002:db84:3f30:ca84:be76:2/64
The first one isn't a range. but people are saying that the second one is invalid. But why?

Hello Garegin88,
Anycast was meant to be used for services such as DNS and HTTP but was never really implemented as designed. There is no special prefix for an IPv6 anycast address. An IPv6 anycast address uses the same address range as global unicast addresses.

The first one (A) is the answer.
B is not qualified for valid ipv6 address. Because it is having length of only 6 quartets, where it should have the length of 8 quartets (128-bit).
