I find the process of getting to 'My Mentions' cumbersome to the point where it's a minor annoyance when someone 'mentions' me in a chat (using the @ symbol) and I then feel compelled to find 'My Mentions' to get rid of the unread message badge.
- Click 'Rooms'
- Click the dropdown (All rooms/My Rooms/Filters)
- Select Filters
- Select My Mentions
- Click Enter
It then appears in the Chats view. But the 'My Mentions' chat it isn't remembered the next time Jabber is opened even though all of my other recent chats are.
I know, it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but I wonder if there's a better way?
-- Is there a faster way to do this? Maybe a keyboard shortcut to go straight to 'My Mentions'?
Or
-- Is there a way to get 'My Mentions' to appear in the 'Chats' view automatically every time I open Jabber (in the same way that all of my other recent chats are shown)? If this could extend to keeping any filter permanently open then I'm sure that would be useful generally.
