NUMLOCK Turned Off At Duo Splash Screen

NUMLOCK is enabled in BIOS and in Windows and is automatically on when in the BIOS setup and Windows. But it is somehow disabled at the DUO splash screen.

We have all Dell computers, so it could be just a Dell thing.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

We are having the exact same issue. Numlock is on, duo splash screen pops up, numlock gets turned off. Also dell… Any word or solution on this?

What do you mean by “Duo splash screen”?

Are you referring to the interactive Duo two-factor authentication UI from installing Duo Authentication for Windows Logon (where the user selects an authentication method to complete MFA)?

If so, is numlock on during username/password entry and then turning off just when in the Duo authentication screen?

ETA: do you have HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Keyboard\InitialKeyboardIndicators set in the registry (see here)?
