Protect RD Gateway with Yubikey token

Hi,

I configured my hardware token like this: https://duo.com/docs/yubikey

and assigned to user.

When launch my rdp session (user+password) can't connect. Yubiko Key doesnt work. Error to etablish connection. I need to do extra configuration?

In my rdp configuration file I have active:

  • Smart Cards or Windows Hello for Business

  • WebAuthn (Windows Hello or Security Keys)

For information Yubiko works fine with protected application Citrix or OWA (Browser with otp code)

And of course with Duo Mobile all works fine I can connect to rdp

My question is. It's possible to use Yubiko Key to protect RDP connection?

Thanks a lot

You mention both RDP and RD Gateway in your post, so not sure which of those two Duo applications you are actually using.

YES - you can use a Yubikey OTP with Duo Authentication for Windows Logon https://duo.com/docs/rdp

NO - you cannot use a Yubikey OTP (or any other type of OTP token or passcode) with Duo for RD Gateway https://duo.com/docs/rdgateway

Duo, not DUO.
