Is the E version and non E version compatible. I was told that the E version will work in both SDH and SONET 15454 Chasis configurations.

As long as I know, you can change the TCC2 cards from SDH to SONET or backwards, just with SW change. The XC cards have to be different I believe (they use different frame formats).

I started a TAC case and I really did not get a precise answer. There were 2 replies that it might work and 1 reply that it would not. I think the reply about the XC frame format difference is the key. The other reply about the ability to change from SDH to SONET I believe is also correct, I remember reading that is the docs. Any other input would be appreciated.
