Can anyone advise if there is support for interVRF multicasting over MPLS VPN network?
We have successfully configured mVPN within a VRF. But cannot seem to get it work across different VRFs - multicast server in red VRF and receivers in green VRF.
Please advise.

Hi,
Has anyone implement MVPN over Inter-VRF (multicasting over different VRFs - multicast server in one VRF and multicast receivers in different VRFs). The FAQ dated 2002 stated that this is not supported. Can someone from Cisco advise if this is a supported feature?
Thanks

It is indeed supported in a few IOS releases including 12.2(33)SXH and 12.2(33)SB.

What you are looking for is a feature called Multicast VPN Extranet Support. This allows you to leak multicast streams from one VRF to another. This was first integrated in 12.2(31)SB2 and 12.2(33)SXH
