Hi all,
I have come across the following statement :
"You can run MPLS in Cell-mode across ATM but not when using Frame Relay or when the ATM structure is built using traditional ATM Forum PVCs"
what is this ATM forum PVC ? is it different from ATM PVC ?
Kindly explain me.
Thanks,
Vijay

Hi,
ATM Forum PVC or ATM PVC means the same. When you connect two LSR back-to-back with a PVC you use (AAL5)-Frame mode MPLS. This would not totally exclude cell-mode MPLS, you could still use both, f.e. on two different ATM interfaces in one LSR.
Hope this helps!
Regards, Martin
