TDP LDP migration

hi,

does anybody have any white paper or info about migration from TDP to LDP?

You definitely need to migrate since LDP is not supported in 12.2 mainline.

12.3 does support LDP, so should be fine.

Several customers have migrated from TDP to LDP pretty seemlessly.

One very important thing to bear in mind while migrating from TDP to LDP is making sure that ACLs (or receive ACLs) on the interfaces on which you migrate allow LDP related ports (udp and tcp 646).

Also, the "mpls label protocol both" can be used for migration purposes.

thank you for answer. Would you give feedback about IOS. We are currently using 12.2 series. Do we have to migrate to 12.3 or going with same IOS to the migration?

You definitely need to migrate since LDP is not supported in 12.2 mainline.
