The 1121 appliance is EOL, end of sw-support was August 27, 2014. I am currently running 5-4-0-46-7 on my appliance.I am upgrading to ver 5.5, and I read this post - https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12076866/1121-upgrade-52-55. So I know it's supported. However what about Version 5.6? That Version is from september 2014, so according to the Cisco doc it's not supported for the 1121 appliance.

The ACS 5.6 software runs on a dedicated Cisco SNS-3495 appliance, on a Cisco SNS-3415 appliance, on a Cisco 1121 Secure Access Control System (CSACS-1121) or on a VMware server. ACS 5.6 ships on Cisco SNS-3495 and Cisco SNS-3415 appliances. However, ACS 5.6 continues to support CSACS-1121 appliance. You can upgrade to ACS 5.6 from any of the previous releases of ACS that runs on CSACS-1121 appliance. For more information on upgrade paths, see Upgrading Cisco Secure ACS Software.

I have installed ver 5.6 With the latest patch on Our New 1121-appliance. Now I'm trying to restore the config from a 5.4 installation onto 5.6 using the restore-command. According to the documentation this is the way to go. However, the backup from the original 1121 is 3,5 Gb, so restore will take a long time. The restore has been running for 30 min and is only on 20 %.
