AAA Problem

Hello Guyz,

i am having issues with my tacacs server. We implemented AAA using linux based tacacs on our 35 around routers and swicthes. On our few Cisco 3700 series routers AAA doesent seems to work. It asks for username/password and then fall back to local enable password.

On the same hand few 3700 Series routers with different IOS do it very good.

Is it a common problem with IOS ? if you can guide me ??

I would debug AAA and I would try to guess what is the problem and differences beetwen IOS versions.

At last, I would upgrade IOS from one AAA failure 3700 to same version Router 3790 is working fine. If this upgrade is working fine .... is up to you.

i did the same, and it worked when IOS was upgraded, but not every IOS is good for your setup, we had some issues with new IOS, High CPU Utilizations etc.. these sort of issue.
