All,
Very basic failure here I've replicated on both VMWare and 1120 hardware appliance.
1. Run a full install (fresh reimage), allow the system to start fully. Ensure DNS is ok and the server can ping the gateway etc.
2. Patch straight to 5.2.0.26.3 via FTP repository. Do not even license/log in via http interface.
3. When patching is complete, reload the system
4. At this point management process will fail to start (will stay in 'initialising' state).
5.2.0.26.2 does not exhibit this behaviour.
Workarounds, anyone? Logs say it has started, but it just hangs.

Did you every get a solution for this? I'm running into the same issue with my set up also. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My VM settings are
4GB Memory
2 CPUs
115GB hard disk

Have you tried to open a browser connection https://acs_ip_address/acsadmin and default password. after that a licence is required and i think that the service finalizes is starting process.

Hi Antero,
yes I have tried to access the website via https://acs_ip_address/acsadmin
but I get the HTTP STATUS -404 page and the output below
type Status report
message
description The requested resource () is not available.
I am using the VM for the database migration process. I have already configuraed my appliances and set up the licences, that all went smoothly. But I need the VM as my target for the migration utility, for some reason the management process on the VM won't start. I've tried deleting and re adding the VM with various settings, starting and stopping the acs service, shutting the interface on the VM (stops the ACS process) reloading the VM multiple times. I'm really stuck on this one.
