Hi,
Does anyone know how to test the performance of ACS Appliance (ACS 3.2) ?
According to the manual, the "transactions per second per number of users" is 80 RADIUS full login cycles (auth, account start, account stop) per second with 10000 users in the ACS internal database.
Any information would be appreciated
Best Regards,

The same document says this "The performance capabilities of Cisco Secure ACS are largely dependent upon the Windows server it is installed upon, your network topology and network management, the selection of user databases, and other factors."
Don't know if they have any methods, may be do as the document says contact your nearest Cisco sales representative

Hi, thanks for the information. The ACS Appliance is a hardware base ACS, so when one buys an ACS appliance, it is coming with the hardware (actually it is only a Compaq server DL320 G2).
Anyway I do my own test performance using a SmartBit to generate "radius-access" packets. The ACS Appliance only able to handle about 20 incoming authentication packest per second. It is very low number compare to the document that says 80 cycles (auth, start, stop).
Any other info would be appreciate
