Hello Cisco Team,

i need a help, i have installed system (Windows Server 2003) and i have configure Active directory for testing and configure one user under it ( TEST01)

now on the same machine i have installed Cisco ACS 4.2.

i'm trying to Authenticate (TEST01) using ACS but it's not working, i can't even see the logs under EVENTVIWER.

i'm sure it's very simple and easy to configure since both AD and ACS is on the same machine.

your support is highly appreciated.

thank you

Regards.

You need to configure ACS to use Windows AD as external database. I suggest you go through the ACS configuration guide and then post the error message of the failed attempt here.

Hi,

You need to bind the ACS with the AD,so that the ACS knows that it has to head to the AD.

The following is the user guide which will help you bind the ACS with AD:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_secure_access_control_server_for_windows/4.2/user/guide/UsrDb.html#wp353636

Hope this helps.

Anisha
